Ottomatic Slim & The Deadly Sins

brings you two generations of rock and blues

Psychedelic rock & blues harmonica virtuoso Ottomatic Slim (aka Otto Lenz) has teamed up with his nephew, A-List rocker guitarist Johnny Bravo.

Both of these front-men are descendants of the late great Chicago gypsy swing guitarist Chick Johnston.

Slim and Bravo enjoyed gigging together in NYC years ago, and now have established the Massachusetts based band Ottomatic Slim & The Deadly Sins. They are currently busy settling into the local club circuit to provide high energy shows of dance-able blues, classic R&B, rock, and soul.

In other projects Slim has opened for blues greats such as Buddy Guy, John Lee Hooker, Lonnie Brooks, Clarence Gatemouth Brown, Louisiana Red, Son Seals and others. He’s been spotted on stages trading licks with Philip Walker, Tommy Hambridge, and Kenny Neal. Slim even played with the opening act of the London Jazz Festival. In Canada he was a headliner at the Maximum Blues Festival In Quebec, and was the headliner at the Blues For My Brother Benefit in Anchorage, Alaska. Slim founded the Blues du Jour band in Charleston, West Virginia. He has been a member of the Massachusetts based Wildcat O’Halloran Band for decades. He has played high end venues in NYC such as BB King's in Time Square, and well known venues throughout New England with Jon Butcher and Charlie Farren (of the Joe Perry Project), including Boston’s Hard Rock Cafe, The Boston House of Blues, the Hanover Theater in Worcester, and The Blue Ocean in Salisbury.

In his youth, wunderkind Johnny Bravo enjoyed a long term guitar residency at the Middle East club in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Then as a New York City resident, Johnny played many gigs throughout the city, mastering his craft in a variety of genres. Johnny has toured the East Coast performing his original works.

Slim has been featured nationally and internationally on both commercial and college radio stations. Blues Revue magazine describes his playing as “top notch”, while Alex Henderson of American Music Guide wrote of the eponymous Ottomatic Slim release, “This is a noteworthy effort that illustrates Ottomatic’s ability to combine blues, rock, soul, and funk. . . “

In Ottomatic Slim & The Deadly Sins, Britain’s own Neil Bryan is featured on drums. Mr. Bryan has toured internationally with a soul revue, after cutting his teeth as a member of various English blues rock and hard rock bands. Holding down the bottom, on bass is Pioneer Valley blues Veteran Alan Majka.
